The pink color is a colored stainless steel process similar to anodized aluminum. It is not dipped or painted. The tines are a sharper tine. They are not coated.

I have bought pink greyhound style combs in the past and I found out they are coated and the tines/teeth tips are coated and dull. I need the tips of the tines sharp.
